児童養護施設の子どもたちとともに里山を開拓するボランティア募集（八王子など）Volunteers needed to clear Satoyama with children in foster care (in Tokyo)

児童養護施設の子どもたちとともに荒れた山林や空き家を手作業で伐り拓き、ふるさとを作り上げるという、児童福祉と環境保全の一石二鳥の取り組みが注目されています。

荒れた山林は所有者不明分だけで全国で100万ha以上。子どもの虐待・貧困は家族と離れて暮らす児童養護施設の子どもたちだけで3万人に及び、拡大の一途をたどっています。

八王子での活動をモデルケースとして、さらに多くの児童養護施設へ、さらに多くの荒れた山林へ拡げるべくボランティア会員を募集しています。

Activities will attract attention, killing two birds with one stone: to child welfare, to environmental protection by logging and clearing, and to vacant houses, bringing new homes to children in foster care.

There are more than 1 million hectares of wild forests in Japan alone with no known owners.
Child abuse and poverty continue to grow, with more than 30,000 children in foster homes living apart from their families.

We are looking for volunteers to expand our activities, using Hachioji as a model case to make more foster homes available.

活動日程

里山開拓は月1回（日曜）、準備会議は月1回（平日夜）。その他各種活動。

・活動期間：1年以上の長期
・自分の都合のつくときに参加すればOK

活動場所

里山は八王子市美山町（高尾駅よりバス20分）など。準備会議はオンラインまたは下北沢。

Organizations: Tokyo Satoyama Kaitakudan (NPO)
Schedule: Satoyama -clearing once a month (Sundays), with preparatory meetings once a month (weekday evenings). Includes various other activities.
・Activity period: more than 1 year
・Just join when it is convenient for you.
Locations: Satoyama is in Miyama-cho, Hachioji City (20 minutes by bus from Takao Station), etc. Preparatory meetings are online or in-person in Shimokitazawa.

応募条件	児童養護施設との里山開拓は19歳から49歳までの方里山紹介サイト運営には年齢制限なし会議やLINE・メールに日本語で対応できれば尚可 ※いずれも経験は問いません。 ※当団体の情報を母国向けに情報発信いただくことにも期待しています。
待遇	無償ボランティア年会費は社会人3000円、学生1500円（保険代などの必要経費として）里山や会議への交通費、食事代、道具代などは原則自己負担（一部助成金の補助があります）

Our activities consist of:
・ Creating paths and clearing spaces in woodlands
・Activities utilizing the blessings of nature through all seasons
・Cooking over an open fire
・Playmates during free time, etc.
Application requirements: Clearing Satoyama with foster homes must be between the ages of 19 and 49.
No age limit for managing the Satoyama introduction website.
If you can respond during meetings, on Line messenger APP, and by e-mail in Japanese, that’s even better.
※No experience is required for either position.
※We also expect you to send out information about our organization to your home country.
Benefits: Free volunteer work.
Annual membership fee is 3,000 yen for adults, and 1,500 yen for students (to cover insurance and other necessary expenses).
In principle, transportation to Satoyama and meetings that are held, meals, tools, etc. are to be paid by the applicant (some subsidies are available).

①事務局へオンライン説明会＆準備会議への見学申込
②オンライン説明会＆準備会議に参加
③入会意志が固まったら事務局に意志表示
④当団体にて入会受理判断
⑤会員遵守事項の誓約メール提出、会費振込で入会手続き完了
入会後はご自分のペースで自発的に継続して参加協力願います（参加が強制されることは一切ありません）。
※個人的に児童に会うことや金品のやりとりをすること、反社会的な政治・宗教的活動、不当な勧誘行為は厳禁です。組織運営に支障をきたす行為がある場合は、参加をお断りする場合があります。

Flow of activities after applying:
1. Apply from the Organization’s Setagaya Office to participate in an online information session & review through a preparatory meeting.
2. Participate in the online information sessions & preparatory meetings.
3. Once you have decided to join, notify the Organization’s Setagaya Office of your intention.
4. The organization will decide whether to approve your membership.
5. After submitting the Membership Compliance Pledge by email, the membership process will be completed by transferring the membership fee.
After joining, we ask for your continued voluntary participation and cooperation at your own pace (you will never be forced to participate).
※Meeting children in private, exchanging money or goods, starting political or religious activities, and improper solicitation are strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse participation if there is conduct that interferes with the operation of the organization.
